Section 01

Ask the house

Your home, on call.

The concierge knows this pack inside out — paint colours, model numbers, meter locations, bin days. Ask it anything about Claytonhame, or browse the sections below.

How to use this pack. Every section is searchable — press / anywhere, or use the Search button in the top bar. Tap any room on the floorplans to see exactly what it's made of. And if you'd rather just ask, the concierge above knows all of it.

Section 03

Explore the house

Tap a room — know it completely.

Choose a floor, then tap a room on the plan. Its photography, dimensions and full finishing specification appear alongside — everything that room is made of, in one place.

Section 04

Finishes & materials

One palette, running through the whole house.

The complete materials library — every paint, tile, grout, floor and surface in the house, and where each one is used. For a single room's full recipe, tap it on the floorplan above. Swatches are indicative; the manufacturer name and range are the record.

Touch-up tip. The range and finish (e.g. Covaplus Vinyl Matt vs Durable Matt) matter as much as the colour — quote both at the decorator's merchant. Each room in the explorer above has a “Copy this room's specification” button for exactly that.

Section 05

Fixtures & fittings

Kitchens & bathrooms, itemised.

The sanitaryware, brassware, cabinetry and worktops fitted throughout — with manufacturer and range, for warranty claims, spares or simply matching the look elsewhere.

Section 06

Appliances

Everything that hums, heats or cools.

Every appliance in the house with its exact model number — copy it straight to your clipboard for registrations, spares or support calls. Full manuals live in the shared document folder.

Open the appliance manuals folder
Worth doing in week one. Register the AEG appliances and the Vaillant boiler with their manufacturers — registration typically extends or activates the warranty, and it only needs the model numbers above.

Section 07

Utilities & services

Where everything lives.

The locations you'll want at exactly the moment you need them — meters, valves, the stopcock — plus the suppliers each service is with on the day of handover.

On moving day. Photograph the electricity and gas meters as opening readings, and tell each supplier the date of completion. Water is unmetered — Southern Water bills by council tax band, so there's no reading to take.

Section 08

Bin collections

Always a Tuesday.

Winchester collects every stream on Tuesdays. Frequencies differ — general and recycling alternate fortnights, garden waste shares the general-waste week.

Which Tuesday? Check your first collection week at winchester.gov.uk/waste-recycling with your postcode (SO23 9PS) — then the pattern above holds from there.

Section 09

Certificates & documents

The paper trail, accounted for.

The certificates and formal documents that accompany the house. Items marked “on completion” are supplied through your solicitor as part of the legal pack.

Keep these together. Your solicitor, insurer and any future buyer will ask for this exact set. One folder — physical or digital — saves hours later.

Section 11

Settling-in checklist

Your first weeks, sorted.
